The Artek Sisters

Two old Artek chairs needed to be made white. They had a tightly riveted core in the seat. You know, the kind of waxy cover. The rivets had to be removed with a chisel and then examined to see if the wood underneath was in good condition. The seat of both chairs had been preserved quite nicely under the core. Otherwise there were scratches and dents in the frame parts of the chair, which had to be repaired...

Grateful composition

White oval table top, beautiful metal legs to match and black chairs gathered around it to complement the style. I was quite happy with the restoration of the massive veneer table (link), the job was a lot of work, the end result was good, but the final positive "rivet" followed. The satisfaction of the work really only comes when you see your handiwork living in its real environment, in other people's homes! And that,...
