Did not go to plan according to. But not always in life. In the end, however, it turned out all right for the end result.
For plumbing repairs The kitchen and bathroom of a family of three were renovated. The residents wanted the kitchen to be functional and nice. They wanted mud and Moroccan tiles. Something like that in terms of tone and material. Not white, too modern and also not a deadpan look. Smooth high gloss cabinet doors and graceful knobs, broken tones were interesting. The drawers should all be pull-out for ease of use, no wooden countertops.
The bathroom was desired a Moroccan tile, a mirror on the wall and definitely not a mirror cabinet. The image is of an American-style bathroom. They wanted the taps to be rose gold.
The plans I made on the basis of these, but there were many twists and turns along the way. The desired rose gold-coloured taps were not available at the time due to supply problems, and the contractor responsible for the plumbing work had severe restrictions on materials and fittings. It was difficult to deviate from the contract furniture. The size of the floor tiles could not exceed the basic 'ten-by-ten' size of 10cm. This is due to the floor tiles, which the tiler would have to take into account and the larger the tile the more challenging it is to make the tiles fall nicely.
Kitchen side the high-gloss, light green cabinet doors I suggested were also not available at the time, and in the end the residents opted for matt light brown cabinet doors. It was a good option, but not originally on the family's wish list.
However, here too it can be said that when renovating, the dirt is splattered, rarely does EVERYTHING go the way you want it to, but the most important thing is of course that the end result is functional and a good feeling for the residents.
Shown here the end result.

I wrote about this earlier about the change at the time it is made: https://superuniikki.com/2018/08/27/putkiremontti-putsaa-roorit-ja-ilmeen/
