    Art

Now I think that is unprecedented! I had an idea that I've never seen before. The situation was that I was trying to figure out what colour to paint the chest of drawers in the kids' room. Suddenly I had the idea to paint in many colours and remove all rules and restrictions. In other words, to do an abstract painting directly on the front panels of the chest of drawers! We are used to seeing art paintings on murals, but why not paint a piece of art directly on the furniture! After all...

  • Don't sand out any of your imperfections

Don't sand out any of your imperfections

These old chair frames arrived for me to work on. The many layers of paint were a testament to the life they had seen, and the size, slightly smaller than today's standards, revealed a picture of the times. From beach to nail-biting

The path from the beach to our hallway is like this: I saw a suitable and sweet-looking tree lying on the beach and thought I'd make something out of it. The old tree was heavy and long, so it required sawing into three (!) pieces on the spot. After a seemingly merciless sawing, the logs were shouldered and into the car. As there were no branches in the trunk to hang the jackets on, it was necessary to...

  • Transformation from Euro pallets to a qualified bed

Transformation from Euro pallets to a qualified bed

The apartment has almost all the structural parts and pieces in place. Apart from the last plumber's visit, the renovation part of the apartment is done, the actual interior solutions and furniture are left. The intention is to make as much of the wood as possible. Wood is fascinating. So along with the others, I'm going to make use of the euro pallets. It's easy to get on board with this trend because the end result is free, durable, "easy" to carry in four pieces into the home and...
