The kitchen and bathrooms are in sight

No renovation without surprise / when there are many cooks there are stirrers in the soup / no tap without a change of colour / creative problem solving studies are enriching. And what are those Finnish sayings now.

When you subscribe "easy" Ikea kitchen, remember that when you're gently clicking through the design programme, you don't immediately have in mind that the finished kitchen will have a lot of professional cabinets behind it. Two fitters spent four days assembling the kitchen, followed by an electrician to tune the appliances to work, after which an electrician was needed to tune the washing machine to work. That can only be done when we get the stone slab, which comes from a different supplier. We are currently waiting like the moon for the level to be measured.

Here's how to put the kitchen cabinets in place.

The bathroom is largely tiled and lit, it will be absolutely wonderful! Still missing mirrored cabinets, sinks and faucets. All the taps are rose gold, but the hand shower proved to be a tricky hook. There is no faucet in rose gold to connect to it, so I had to decide on the fly how to solve the dilemma. I solved this during an outdoor walk by wildly adding a matte black tap to it now, as a combination of that colour is in turn available. The matte black will go nicely with the pink stone sink though, no problem. The only thing that needs to be accepted is that all the other taps are rose gold and one is black. Of course it gets bridged by the dark walls.
