The plan went a resident's need for a bathroom upgrade. The resident wanted microcement on the floor and walls - and wanted help with their shade choices. They wanted to keep the existing brown-coloured fixtures and match their future colour choices. The shower walls were replaced, as were the ceiling panelling and lighting.

The roof should giant seat panels, as the same material was already in the sauna. As the panelling was to be replaced, it was possible to design a personalised lighting scheme for the bathroom ceiling. I suggested a rhythmically alternating black profile LED lighting system. The lighting company supplied high quality profiles and a light strip that is pointless, meaning it gives a uniform light.

Floor microcement The colour was chosen to match the furniture in a warm brown tone, and the walls in industrial Grueso Gris grey. The shower wall profiles, shampoo rack, toilet paper holder and towel hooks were all black, giving the overall look a sturdy elegance.

Living room and hallway also wanted to be updated. The 90s-style cupboard doors in the hallway were considered. The doors were in good condition, so they could be reused with a tune-up. I designed and built the finger-paneled doors, which were given a completely new shade of dark, soft Teknos Gone Icefishing. Later we realised that we would also do a Levon Wood base in the same paint. An absolutely breathtakingly stunning ensemble like this, it all rocks!

Living room side the occupant was disturbed by light-coloured wallpaper that had served its time. A new look and at the same time an acoustic effect was created with acoustic panels. The wooden framed panels are attached to acoustic 9mm felt made from recycled plastic. The colour of the trims is grey oak. This blends beautifully with the dark grey floor tone.

A unique delicacy there is also a new carpet, called Tide, because the edge of the carpet is shaped as if the tide is flushing in the direction of the window light.

The customer wanted implementation after giving feedback on the cabinet: "I have to say that the more you look at it, the better it looks. The colours are just perfect - they go so well with everything I've done before." And he was also delighted with his own previous choices, that it was possible to find such a perfect match with the old. <3
