Like a wall rose - excellent!

Wall rose means usually a person who doesn't really stand out from the wall. This is a delicious idea in furniture design! So you make a piece of furniture in exactly the same shade as the wall. In this case the piece of furniture just comes out of the wall as a shape, what a fun idea!

That thought in my mind I picked up an old bedside table from our waste recycling point. The table was lame and dirty, a yellowed, disgusting chest of drawers. Intact, however, and therefore qualified for the next round.

I sanded the chest of drawers clean and painted it with the same light green shade (Tikkurila Serpentine) as our living room wall. I pulled to define the look of the furniture in quite a way. I chose a rose gold-coloured pull that matched the rest of our decor to replace the old wooden knob, and it turned out nice! Now it can support a plant and act as a tech shelf, hiding from view the useless remotes and other such gadgets that tend to be found in the living room.
