The entrance hall is calling inside the home. This typically narrow, shady friend welcomes newcomers to the home and sends family members out into the world. Its functionality and impressiveness would be an advantage in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Entrance hall design is easily overlooked, however, as it struggles to compete for the impressiveness factor occupied by the more spectacular co-containers - the living room, kitchen and bedroom.

The photos showcase a change to the entrance hall, where space and functionality were needed. They wanted to replace the opening wardrobe doors with sliding doors that would not take up any of the square footage in the hallway. Not having to open and dodge wardrobe doors in a narrow hallway means that a family of four can better pack away November's outdoor clothes without one elbow in the other's ear.

The second dwelling the point of change was the workplace of the family mother. I had to have a small desk space in the room, where I could close the door and work in peace. With a bit of rearranging in the parents' bedroom, we found a suitable space for a desk and some privacy.
