We liked the new Hope Design with a group of people at the "Inspirational Decorating Evening" and talked about choosing themes for your decorative boards.

Choosing the subjects for the tables it's worth stopping and reflecting on what's important to me in life. It's worth clearing the way to even this basic question, because home is a big thing and images matter (old Finnish proverb by Levonperä).
I will use as an example the closest possible, which is me. What matters to me is security and peace. I am a security-seeking person at heart and my drifting thoughts crave peace. You never know what's going on in the outside world, so I want my home to give me a sense of security and peace. And these are what I experience in the forest. That's why I try to make my home a small forest. With forest rugs, green paint, wooden elements and pictures I build a suitable green atmosphere in my home.
Back to the boards and pictures. For a test, what kind of natural landscape comes to mind if you are looking for a relaxing, calming, safe, important, empowering and beautiful view from your memories? The first landscape that comes to mind and is meaningful to you is called for a mental landscape (Arvonen 2014). Such a mental landscape image could be placed in the home and allowed to have an impact.

Getting out and about in nature the well-being claims are known (reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, increases concentration...) and the nature experience is sustained through reminiscence and images. This continuity of experience is called an eidetic experience. In this way, looking at a nature tableau creates an eidetic experience for us at home. Isn't it funny how a cozy situation can be given a scientific tone with a word of civilization! Eidetic experience - there, I learned a new term while preparing our lecture!
The main point here in the placement of images in the home, is to reinforce the occupant's sense of self-worth. For example, according to feng shui principles, if you want to find love, you should consider whether there is physical space in your home for another person, for example in a wardrobe, hallway, bed? Often the physical space reflects the mental space and vice versa. In pictures, it is worth eliminating the lonely, ethereal characters and gently emphasising the loving images, the couples, thus allowing space in the mind for this to happen.
After the with the subject in mind, choose the material to print on. There are many possibilities, I'm a fan of wood myself. A photograph printed on wood combines two elements, as the wood grain shows through the image. Other options include acrylic, glass, metal, poster and canvas. The important thing to bear in mind is that a glass surface, for example, is reflective, while a wood surface is matte. Just find the right surface for the space you want.
