Functionality of the hallway<\/strong> is a surprisingly big benefactor at home. If you feel you have to dodge furniture or people, that's not good. Smooth movement and easy placement of coats and shoes are comforting to many. A client identified the problem areas in the hallway of her home, which is a stunning old factory building:<\/p>\n

The style I wanted was loft, something exciting, old and new, lots of colour, no pastels, a combination of clean and bohemian.<\/p>\n

Functionally, they wanted space in the corridor, shoes hidden and more lighting.<\/p>\n

The proposal would remove the large shoe rack and replace it with a chest of drawers and a chest of drawers to sit on. The recess would be painted in a dark plum shade to match the shade of the frame. For an industrial look, we'd have a hat rack with rough pipes.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
